Job summary

The Health, Safety & Environmental Manager is a specialist role responsible for ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards within the organization. This position involves managing HSE plans, conducting risk assessments, and implementing incident-prevention measures to ensure safe operations.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in HSE/environmental management in construction, rail, electrical, telecoms, or industrial settings.
• Strong understanding of permits, incident investigation, contractor management, and environmental controls.
• Proven ability to influence site behaviors and challenge unsafe practices.
• Resilience in high-pressure situations, including audits and incident management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement HSE plans, risk assessments, and incident-reporting processes.
• Conduct inspections, audits, and toolbox talks to promote safety culture.
• Investigate incidents and unsafe conditions, ensuring corrective actions are taken.
• Coordinate HSE readiness for various operational phases including installation and testing.
• Ensure compliance with the organization's Code of Conduct and HSE regulations.
