The Head of Technology Business Management is responsible for enhancing commercial governance and operational efficiency within the technology sector. This senior role focuses on driving transparency, efficiency, and value realization across technology operations.

Responsibilities

  • Implement Technology Business Management (TBM) standards across the organization.
  • Manage commercial governance for technology vendors, including contract lifecycle and value tracking.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Legal on contract negotiations for strategic suppliers.
  • Oversee supplier performance management, including KPI/SLA definitions and service improvement plans.
  • Ensure transparency in technology spending and commitments across vendors.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and management reporting.
  • Maintain operational KPIs and dashboards for performance and risk management.
  • Support financial planning and forecasting processes.
  • Drive standardization and improvement of operational processes and governance templates.
  • Coordinate operational risk management with relevant departments.
  • Manage exceptions and waivers with appropriate follow-up.
  • Lead and develop a small team of analysts and vendor managers.
  • Identify and implement cost optimization initiatives.

Skills

  • Expertise in vendor and contract lifecycle management.
  • Knowledge of technology cost governance and financial management.
  • Understanding of procurement fundamentals and operational performance management.
  • Awareness of risk and compliance issues, including third-party risks.
  • Familiarity with tools like contract management systems, ERP, and BI dashboards.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Broad understanding of technology to assess vendor impacts.

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, IT, Engineering, or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in English; knowledge of a Nordic language is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, COBIT, CIPS) are advantageous.

Tools

  • Contract lifecycle management tools, project portfolio management tools, ERP systems, and business intelligence dashboards.
