Job summary

This senior technical leadership role focuses on defining and scaling the observability strategy for a developer-facing platform. The position involves managing both internal observability systems for reliability and performance, as well as a customer-facing observability product. The role requires collaboration across engineering, product, and infrastructure teams to integrate observability into system design.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in technical leadership or engineering management roles.
  • Proven experience in building, scaling, or operating observability platforms in high-scale production environments.
  • Deep expertise in observability domains including logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and dashboarding.
  • Strong hands-on experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ClickHouse, VictoriaMetrics, OpenTelemetry, or similar.
  • Experience designing distributed systems and telemetry pipelines with a focus on scalability and reliability.
  • Strong product mindset to treat observability as a developer-facing product.
  • Excellent communication skills for influencing technical and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Comfort in fast-moving, remote-first environments.
