Head of Installation

Job summary

The Head of Installation will lead the establishment and growth of a new Installation team, focusing on managing the installation process for large capital expenditure projects. This role involves collaboration across various disciplines and geographies to ensure high standards in installation execution.

Qualifications

• Background in engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent professional experience in project execution.
• Experience in managing large capital construction or installation projects, preferably in industrial or engineering-led environments.
• Advanced knowledge in contractor management, site supervision, and quality control on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the installation team across multiple locations, setting standards and fostering a culture of excellence.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure effective use of specialist knowledge and capture lessons learned from installation activities.
• Manage project progress and risks by tracking installation schedules and providing timely updates to project directors.
• Act as a trusted advisor on installation issues and staffing needs, maintaining quality standards on-site.
• Promote safety and compliance with site safety rules and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with project directors, engineers, and contractors to proactively address potential issues.
• Contribute to process improvement and change management within the installation department.
