Hardware Lead Engineer

Job summary

This role involves contributing to the development of advanced audio products within a modern work environment. The Hardware Lead Engineer will play a key role in the design specification, verification, and testing of enterprise and Critical Communications headsets, focusing on both USB/cabled and wireless categories.

Qualifications

• Educational background in electrical engineering, data engineering, or computer engineering is preferred.
• Experience in collaborating with external partners in electronics development.
• Familiarity with USB standards and hardware product design.
• Background in battery-driven and wireless product design.
• Understanding of measurement equipment and test setups.
• Personal attributes such as flexibility, open-mindedness, and solution orientation.
• Proactive communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Audio knowledge is advantageous for integration and verification of audio components.

Responsibilities

• Define hardware requirements and develop design specifications and verification plans.
• Collaborate with suppliers to ensure proper product definition and verification.
• Engage in USB-based product development and work with Bluetooth and BLE products.
• Contribute to battery-powered product development, focusing on charging and performance optimization.
• Conduct measurements in a hardware lab and analyze data for improvements.
• Utilize data analysis tools such as Python or Excel macros.

Skills

• Strong understanding of hardware design, schematics, and electronic components.
• Experience with measurement data analysis and corrective action implementation.

Education

• Relevant degree in electrical engineering, data engineering, or computer engineering is ideal.

Tools

• Proficiency in data analysis and automation tools, including Python and Excel macros.
