Hardware Design Engineer (Interconnect Design, Roskilde)

Job summary

A Hardware Design Engineer is needed to join the Interconnect Design team, focusing on the development of high-speed interconnect solutions for data centers. The role involves design, optimization, and testing of interconnect products, with opportunities for ownership of transceiver designs and cross-functional project leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 3 years of experience in electronic circuit design or datacom/telecom systems testing.
• Strong product mindset with the ability to manage transceiver development projects independently.
• Proactive approach to identifying opportunities and influencing outcomes across teams.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with at least one programming language.

Responsibilities

• Progress towards ownership of interconnect product designs, including PCB design, system bring-up, and testing.
• Manage projects involving multiple stakeholders across hardware, firmware, and system teams.
• Collaborate with various teams to ensure high-quality design solutions.
• Conduct testing, characterization, and validation of modules and system-level solutions.

Skills

• Background in packaging technologies is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of optoelectronic components.
• Experience with high data rate system characterization and RF testing.
• Proven capability in optical system testing and validation.
• Familiarity with product manufacturing and process development, including scaling to production.
• Understanding of product qualification and reliability testing.

Education

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Tools

• Proficiency in relevant design and testing tools, as well as programming languages.
