Job summary

This role focuses on leading the standard crushing product group within the mining sector, overseeing product lines including jaws, cones, and impactors. The position involves P&L ownership and requires collaboration with various teams to drive product development and market growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in Engineering or Business is preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in the mining industry, particularly in mineral processing or a related area.
  • Significant experience in customer interactions, including sales and commercial negotiations.
  • Familiarity with related product lines is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the global product group, including ownership of global OI, revenue, and EBITA.
  • Develop and enhance product lines throughout their life cycle, focusing on profitability.
  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and drive R&D for new products.
  • Analyze market trends to identify growth opportunities, including potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to create strategies for profitable sales growth.
  • Define staffing needs for Regional Product Line Managers to support product lines.
  • Establish and enforce global pricing strategies to maximize margins.
  • Work with procurement and regions to determine global inventory levels and stocking locations.
  • Manage the Industry Sales Support function for proposal preparation and pricing.
  • Oversee engineering functions related to the product group to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the Services Business Line to support profitable service revenues.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering or similar field required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
