Global Data Owner (On-site)

Job summary

This role is focused on enhancing the governance and management of product data to drive improvements in productivity, cost, and customer service. The Global Data Owner (GDO) will oversee the end-to-end governance of product data across various teams and regions, collaborating with Global Process Owners to align with strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

• Own the Enterprise Data Model for product data, reviewing and approving changes.
• Define and lead the data governance approach for product data across all regions and functions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define the vision for Product Data and its integration with business processes.
• Influence design and data capabilities to meet best practice standards.
• Maintain an enterprise view of the Product Data landscape and manage deviations from the standard model.
• Drive improvements in data quality and solution design.
• Identify and propose mechanisms for effective data cleansing.
• Align stakeholders to ensure efficient product data processes.
• Lead a team of data experts in governance and strategic projects.
• Inspire colleagues to adopt an end-to-end mindset for Product Data.
• Collaborate with other GDOs for data consistency and improvements.

Qualifications

Desirable Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in technical transformation and end-to-end data transformation.
• Strong understanding of Information Architecture principles in complex businesses.
• Experience in defining and communicating a vision for Enterprise Data.
• Leadership experience in diverse teams within a matrix structure.
• Ability to simplify complex problems and communicate effectively.
• Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and conflicting priorities.
• Cultural sensitivity and experience in a global environment.
• Knowledge of product lifecycle management.
• Familiarity with SAP 4 and Master Data Management platforms.
