Job summary

This is a freelance, fully remote position for a Data Scraping Engineer specializing in Python. The role involves managing data extraction workflows within a hybrid AI and human system, focusing on web scraping and data processing tasks.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in data engineering, web scraping, automation, or software development.
• Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or related fields is preferred.
• Proficiency in Python web scraping tools (e.g., BeautifulSoup, Selenium) and handling dynamic content.
• Experience in data cleaning, normalization, and validation, producing structured datasets.
• Familiarity with LLMs and AI frameworks is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and self-directed work ethic.
• English proficiency at an upper-intermediate level (B2) or higher.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end data extraction processes from complex websites, ensuring accuracy and reliability of datasets.
• Utilize internal tools (Apify, OpenRouter) and custom workflows to enhance data collection and validation.
• Adapt scraping techniques for dynamic web sources and maintain data quality through rigorous checks.
• Scale operations for large datasets and monitor for stability against site changes.
