FPGA Systems Development Engineer

Job summary

We are looking for an entry-level FPGA Systems Development Engineer to join a team focused on developing high-quality FPGA and SoC solutions for various applications in the Aerospace, Defense, and Communication sectors. The role involves working collaboratively in a diverse environment to support customers in evaluating and testing ultra-wideband products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical and/or computer engineering
• Hands-on experience with FPGA and/or SoC programming
• Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills
• Ability to work on multiple projects and prioritize effectively

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SoC FPGA programs using HDL, IP, and embedded software
• Constrain FPGA designs and perform timing analysis
• Conduct FPGA design verification using behavioral models
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with FPGA designs and hardware
• Participate in design reviews, create documentation, and produce demonstrations
• Support evaluation and testing of new products in the lab and on ATE
• Collaborate with digital design engineers, product/test engineers, and applications/marketing engineers

Skills

• Experience with high-speed signaling, electronics design, and embedded software (preferred)
• Familiarity with Intel-Altera and/or AMD-Xilinx devices and tools (preferred)
• Proficiency in RTL HW programming and digital design (preferred)
• Knowledge of C/C++, Python, and TCL for software design (preferred)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical and/or computer engineering
