FPGA Systems Development Engineer

Job summary

Seeking an entry-level FPGA Systems Development Engineer to contribute to the Aerospace, Defense, and Communication Business Unit. The role focuses on developing and deploying high-quality FPGA and SoC solutions for various applications, including electronic test equipment and communication systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical and/or computer engineering
• Hands-on experience with FPGA and/or SoC programming
• Strong communication, organizational, and technical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment

Responsibilities

• Design and implement SoC FPGA programs using HDL, IP, and embedded software
• Constrain FPGA designs and perform timing analysis
• Conduct FPGA design verification using behavioral models
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with FPGA designs and hardware
• Participate in design reviews and create documentation
• Support evaluation and testing of new products in the lab

Skills

• Experience with high-speed signaling and embedded software (preferred)
• Proficiency in Verilog/System Verilog and digital design (preferred)
• Familiarity with C/C++, Python, and TCL for software design (preferred)

Education

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical and/or computer engineering

Tools

• Experience with AMD-Xilinx devices and tools, especially Gigabit Transceivers and high-speed memory (preferred)
