Forward Deployed Engineer

Job summary

This role involves designing, building, and deploying AI solutions within enterprise customer environments. The Forward Deployed Engineer will collaborate with a Deployment Strategist to create impactful solutions that are implemented in production from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of software engineering or technical delivery experience, with a focus on production systems, preferably in an AI tech stack.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience in customer-facing technical delivery roles such as consulting or professional services.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or Apex.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and prompt engineering.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, APIs, and integration patterns.
• Ability to communicate effectively with sales teams and customer architects.
• Commitment to delivering quality code and evaluating AI outputs rigorously.
• Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time for customer engagements.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI agents and experiences that deliver real actions for organizations.
• Design agent intelligence, including prompts and integration with customer systems.
• Manage technical components from architecture to deployment and validation.
• Build and integrate data pipelines using platforms like Snowflake and Databricks.
• Create and maintain dashboards for agent performance and customer KPIs.
• Contribute to proofs-of-concept and MVPs, ensuring rapid deployment.
• Collaborate with customers and partners, enhancing their capabilities through shared best practices.
• Provide feedback to senior engineers and product teams based on field insights.
