Footwear Designer (Fashion, Aarhus)

Job summary

Seeking a creative and experienced Footwear Designer to join a dynamic design team. This role involves contributing to the design and development of seasonal footwear collections, ensuring alignment with brand identity and commercial needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in footwear design.
• Strong technical knowledge of footwear construction, materials, and trims.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with InDesign is a plus.
• Familiarity with 3D design tools such as CLO3D is advantageous.
• Experience collaborating with suppliers and production partners.
• Understanding of market trends and customer needs.
• Experience with PLM systems is a plus.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop footwear styles for seasonal collections.
• Conduct trend research and gather market insights to inform design decisions.
• Create sketches, material specifications, and product descriptions.
• Prepare detailed tech packs and briefs for production.
• Update existing styles for consistency across collections.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Marketing, and Sales teams.
• Participate in fittings, reviews, and follow-ups during development.
• Communicate with suppliers and external partners as needed.
• Travel occasionally for factory visits or research trips.

Education

• Relevant degree in design or a related field preferred.

Tools
