Financial Lines Underwriter (Copenhagen)

Job summary

A Financial Lines Underwriter is sought to join a Nordic team in Copenhagen, specializing in Management Liability (MLC) products such as Directors’ & Officers’ Liability, Crime, and Employment Practices Liability. The role involves managing a portfolio primarily focused on Denmark while supporting operations across the Nordic region.

Qualifications

• Experience in the insurance industry, preferably in roles such as Assistant Underwriter or Broker.
• Technical knowledge or interest in Management Liability products (D&O/Crime).
• Fluency in English and a Scandinavian language, with Danish preferred.
• Strong negotiation skills and a commercial mindset.
• Ability to work independently and analytically in a matrix organization.

Responsibilities

• Assessing risks and structuring programs for D&O, Crime, EPL, and potentially Professional Indemnity.
• Building and maintaining relationships with Danish and Nordic brokers.
• Managing the profitability and growth of the assigned book of business through analysis and proactive management.
• Contributing to the Nordic strategy by identifying market trends and opportunities.
