Job summary

A Financial Crime Prevention organization is looking for a Sanctions Specialist to join their Sanctions & Transaction Monitoring team. This role is based in Hellerup and focuses on ensuring compliance with global sanctions regulations, managing L2 alerts, and supporting reporting to the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU). The position is temporary, ending on 31 January 2027, with potential for permanence based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain structured documentation on sanctions compliance in line with regulatory expectations.
• Implement sanctions requirements across systems and processes in a timely manner.
• Provide input for sanctions screening solutions related to clients and transactions.
• Manage operational tasks including escalated sanctions alerts and advisory inquiries.
• Support improvements in sanctions processes for better efficiency and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate with compliance, operations, and technology teams to ensure effective sanctions controls.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sanctions compliance.
• Proven ability to provide concise advice based on sanctions requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent written communication skills for translating regulatory requirements into operational guidance.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently.
• Professional proficiency in English is required; knowledge of Danish is not necessary.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in financial crime prevention or compliance is preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with sanctions screening solutions and compliance software is beneficial.
