Financial Controller (Renewable Energy, Remote)

Job summary

The role involves overseeing financial reporting and compliance within the offshore wind sector, ensuring accurate and insightful financial data to support management decisions.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Preferred accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent) or actively pursuing one.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in audit, financial control, or technical accounting.
• Familiarity with internal controls, SOX compliance, and cross-functional financial operations.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and consolidation principles.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and enhance financial processes to ensure strong internal controls and compliance across the organization.
• Manage planning and review cycles to maintain completeness and consistency in line with IFRS standards and internal policies.
• Prepare and review control documentation to facilitate efficient execution of controls supporting a robust SOX environment.
• Develop and improve the Finance Manual for consistent application of accounting policies.
• Lead monthly and quarterly close activities in collaboration with accounting teams and contribute to process improvements.
• Coordinate and provide input for audit and external reporting requests.
