Finance Manager (Life Sciences, Køge)

Job summary

The Finance Manager will oversee the finance and accounting operations for a life sciences company, focusing on re-establishing a local finance function and improving financial processes. This role involves direct reporting to the Managing Director and managing an Accounting Assistant.

Qualifications

• Relevant degree in finance, accounting, business economics, or similar.
• Solid foundation in accounting and audit, with experience from either an audit firm or a finance department.
• Hands-on experience in financial and business controlling, including budgeting and forecasting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and experience in financial process improvements.
• Advanced Excel skills and a willingness to explore modern financial tools.
• Strong communication skills in English; Danish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of finance and accounting, including monthly closing, statutory reporting, and audit coordination.
• Lead the migration of accounting systems back to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Establish integrated financial workflows to eliminate manual processes.
• Develop and manage the budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with leadership.
• Implement cost controlling and reporting mechanisms at various levels.
• Create monthly management reports and KPI dashboards for financial performance visibility.
• Act as a business partner to function leads, providing financial insights for decision-making.
• Recruit and develop the Accounting Assistant, ensuring clear responsibilities.
• Strengthen internal controls and financial governance in line with regulatory requirements.
