Finance Controller (Agriculture, Denmark)

Job summary

This role involves full ownership of local finance processes, supporting commercial decision-making, and driving sustainable growth within the finance community. The Finance Controller will report to the local Finance Manager and operate in a matrix environment.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in a similar finance role or in audit.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Excel and general IT tools.
• Independent and proactive with an ownership mindset.
• Team-oriented with a collaborative spirit.
• Native Danish speaker and fluent in English (both written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial controlling, including top-line and Opex performance, KPI monitoring, and Capex follow-up.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes, coordinating external audit activities.
• Prepare quarterly forecasts and execute Key Control Framework checks.
• Monitor expenses and perform balance sheet reconciliations.
• Handle daily financial operations and ad-hoc tasks.
• Drive optimization and continuous improvement of finance processes and systems.
• Ensure internal control, compliance, tax reporting, and FP&A cycles are maintained.
