Job summary

The Finance Associate will play a key role in managing daily accounting tasks and supporting financial strategies. This position requires a meticulous individual to ensure precise financial reporting, compliance, and insightful analysis for business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Perform essential accounting duties, including billing, payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger upkeep, cost accounting, inventory management, and revenue recognition.
• Ensure financial records are accurate by posting transactions, reconciling accounts, and addressing discrepancies promptly.
• Prepare, update, and analyze financial reports, ensuring they are accurate and aligned with current data.
• Assist with audits, tax submissions, and financial assessments by organizing necessary financial information in line with regulations.
• Address financial inquiries from internal and external parties by analyzing data and providing clear insights.
• Aid in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning through data analysis and reporting.
• Document and enhance accounting processes and internal controls for improved efficiency and compliance.

Qualifications

Good to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Economics; a Master’s degree or MBA is advantageous.
• Over 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, with strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks independently while collaborating effectively in a team.
• Adaptable to a dynamic work environment and last-minute requests.
• Professional certifications like CPA, CFA, CMA, or ACCA.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks or Gusto.
• Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of financial reporting standards and compliance in a global context.
• Understanding of cloud technologies and their influence on financial models.
• Experience working with diverse cultures and international clients.
