Job summary

This role involves providing expert installation, maintenance, and repair services for advanced Life Science Mass Spectrometry instruments. The position requires delivering exceptional technical support while fostering strong relationships with clients in research institutions, pharmaceutical companies, and biotechnology firms. Responsibilities include resolving complex issues, conducting preventive maintenance, and training users to ensure optimal system performance.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree (Advanced or Bachelor's) in Electronics, Physics, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related technical field; relevant technical/lab experience is also acceptable.
  • Experience in installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating sophisticated analytical instruments is advantageous.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe and the US for technical training.
  • Demonstrated expertise with ultra-high vacuum systems, high voltage electronics, and complex electro-mechanical systems is a plus.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills for hardware and software issues.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to build positive customer relationships.
  • Professional working proficiency in English; knowledge of additional Nordic languages is beneficial.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, schematics, and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency with Windows operating systems, networking, and standard business software.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel 25-50%, primarily in the Nordics.
  • Experience in mentoring and training others is preferred.
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong team collaboration.
  • Availability to respond to urgent customer needs.
  • Commitment to safety by adhering to all safety protocols.
