Field Application Engineer (Vision, On-site)

Job summary

The role involves serving as a Vision specialist, providing both technical and commercial support for vision and camera solutions. The position is based in either Køge or Aarhus and requires collaboration with a technical team to drive sales and application support for vision solutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant education in automation, vision, electronics, or similar (e.g., engineer, automation technician).
• Knowledge of vision applications such as quality inspection, traceability (OCR/OCV, barcode), and positioning.
• Good understanding of advanced automation solutions including PLCs, motion, HMI, and robotics.
• Experience with machine vision/image processing (cameras, lighting, optics, software, and algorithms) is an advantage.
• Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to support the sales process.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in vision and camera solutions to customers, both on-site and remotely.
• Analyze, validate, and optimize customer vision applications (inspection, measurement, identification, etc.).
• Take ownership of selecting the right solutions for customers and partners.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to professionally advise on the best vision solutions.
• Ensure customer success with the chosen Omron solution.
• Share knowledge continuously with the team.
• Work with the marketing department to create activities that promote sales of vision solutions.
