Qualifications

  • Experience managing an engineering team of at least 2 individuals.
  • Extensive background in Backend development (Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby, or functional programming).
  • Strong commitment to promoting organizational values.
  • Proven track record of delivering secure, reliable, and scalable production systems.
  • Experience with designing or adopting automation workflows.
  • Ability to think in systems and ensure quality through verification processes.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Focus on efficient processes with a people-first approach.
  • Understanding of team dynamics and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in automation and AI fluency.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a product team of 3-5 engineers, spending 30% of time on management tasks.
  • Actively participate in product development alongside the team.
  • Involved in hiring and onboarding new engineers.
  • Provide continuous feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Redesign engineering workflows to enhance efficiency and outcomes.
  • Build reusable workflows and ensure results are verified and scalable.

Education

  • Relevant experience in engineering management and software development.

Tools

  • Familiarity with automation tools and AI technologies.
