Engineering Manager - Web (Remote)

Job summary

The Engineering Manager for Web is responsible for leading the team that develops and maintains the web platform, including the coach portal and administration interface. This role is crucial for ensuring high-quality interactions for enterprise customers and managing the transition from an internal platform to a commercial SaaS model.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing an engineering team with direct people leadership.
• Technical credibility with the ability to engage in architectural discussions and code reviews.
• Strong focus on outcomes rather than outputs, collaborating closely with Product Managers.
• Experience in leading web or full-stack engineering teams using technologies like React, TypeScript, or Node.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Manage team dynamics through 1:1s, performance reviews, and hiring processes.
• Own the delivery process, including sprint management and roadmap execution.
• Address operational issues, ensuring incidents and blockers are resolved efficiently.
• Foster a culture of questioning the necessity and success criteria of projects.

Skills

• Familiarity with API integrations, SSO, and enterprise connections is advantageous.
• Experience in health, wellness, or B2B SaaS sectors is a plus.
• Interest in AI-assisted development and modern engineering practices.

Education

• Relevant educational background in engineering or a related field is preferred.
