Engineering Manager (Copenhagen)

Job summary

The Engineering Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, management, and documentation necessary for installation and testing approvals. This role includes leading technical governance, engineering integration, and design assurance processes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior engineering leadership roles within rail systems, control/communications, IT/OT, or multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering, design assurance, interface management, configuration, and lifecycle acceptance.
• Proven ability to lead diverse technical teams and supplier engineering organizations.
• Resilience in high-pressure situations, including design freezes and technical escalations.
• Familiarity with CENELEC standards.
• Over 7 years of experience in complex rail/systems projects.

Responsibilities

• Define the engineering management approach and design governance processes.
• Lead technical coordination across various engineering teams and ensure compliance with safety and operational requirements.
• Resolve technical conflicts and oversee supplier design reviews.
• Provide engineering input for program reviews and customer design gates.
• Chair design reviews and manage technical integrity and design maturity.

Skills

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Balanced judgment across safety, performance, maintainability, cost, and schedule.

Education

• Relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Tools

• Familiarity with BIM/CAD tools and engineering management software.
