Engineering Manager

Job summary

This role involves leading an engineering team of five to seven members focused on developing a core component of a Smart Financial Platform. The Engineering Manager is responsible for team health, performance, hiring, and ensuring technical excellence while maintaining close engagement with the codebase.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing engineering teams, including growth, feedback, performance, and hiring.
• Strong engineering background with the ability to read designs, review pull requests, and maintain technical standards.
• Demonstrated history of successful project delivery, capable of breaking down complex tasks and maintaining momentum.
• Familiarity with AI tools and their application in engineering workflows.
• Excellent communication skills for providing feedback and representing the team effectively.

Responsibilities

• Foster individual growth through regular one-on-ones and timely feedback.
• Monitor team performance and address issues proactively.
• Manage the hiring process and ensure effective onboarding for new team members.
• Maintain team health by promoting psychological safety and managing workloads.
• Uphold technical quality by reviewing work and making independent evaluations.
• Ensure timely delivery of agreed-upon project scopes and adjust timelines as necessary.

Skills

• Experience in SaaS or FinTech is a plus, particularly in multi-entity financial operations.
• Ability to establish or reshape a team structure.
• Familiarity with Kotlin and React is advantageous.

Education

• Relevant experience in engineering management is essential.

Tools

• Proficiency in modern engineering tools and practices, particularly those related to AI integration.
