About the role

Job summary

The role involves contributing to the full DSP development lifecycle for audiological algorithms and hearing instrument features aimed at enhancing the listening experience for individuals with hearing loss.

Qualifications

  • A relevant degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Acoustics, Signal Processing, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of DSP principles, algorithm development, simulation, modeling, and performance evaluation.
  • Experience in implementing, testing, and documenting audio, acoustic, embedded, or signal processing systems.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, C, C++, Simulink, or similar tools.
  • Structured approach to requirements, testability, documentation, code quality, and maintainable design.
  • Collaborative skills across DSP, embedded software, audiology, system design, test, and product stakeholders.
  • Curiosity about research, patents, new tools, and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Follow trends in DSP algorithms and emerging technologies to generate new product concepts.
  • Evaluate and mature DSP algorithm concepts for hearing instruments through simulations and performance analysis.
  • Implement DSP concepts while considering computational, power, memory, latency, and integration constraints.
  • Collaborate with embedded software developers to integrate DSP concepts into real-time software.
  • Contribute to system requirements, design, verification strategies, and test case development.
  • Validate performance through sound studio measurements and listening tests in collaboration with audiologists.
  • Support product launches with technical documentation and marketing input.
  • Ensure responsible and secure development considering user safety and regulatory expectations.
  • Enhance shared DSP tools and workflows focusing on code quality and maintainability.
