Job summary

The Director of Pricing Strategy is responsible for designing and executing the monetization strategy on a global scale, focusing on optimizing the product packaging to align with customer value across various segments and markets. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and explore innovative monetization models beyond traditional SaaS subscriptions.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in delivering impactful commercial initiatives with accountability for business financials.
  • Background in pricing, monetization, or strategy roles within matrixed organizations, demonstrating autonomy in fast-paced settings.
  • Familiarity with SaaS and B2B pricing models, including understanding key metrics such as NRR and churn.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • High curiosity and entrepreneurial mindset, capable of navigating ambiguity and pursuing new opportunities.
  • Excellent analytical skills and commercial acumen for developing compelling business cases.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize the core B2B proposition to meet customer needs and maintain market competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with Product and Product Marketing to determine the best packaging for new features.
  • Utilize commercial judgment and analytical skills to ideate new pricing and monetization models to enhance NRR.
  • Assist in the annual budget setting and goal-setting processes.
  • Identify and develop new ancillary revenue opportunities from concept to project delivery.
  • Monitor market trends and industry events to inform internal strategies.
  • Work closely with Pricing & Monetization colleagues to ensure competitive pricing aligned with customer value.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

Education

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with pricing and analytics tools relevant to SaaS and B2B markets.
