Developer Advocate (Remote)

Job summary

This role focuses on engaging with developers through technical expertise and community involvement, while working fully remote. The Developer Advocate will create educational content and represent developer needs across various platforms and events.

Qualifications

• Over 3 years of experience in developer advocacy, relations, or a similar technical role.
• Established presence in relevant developer communities.
• Strong understanding of web technologies, APIs, and data extraction.
• Proficiency in Python.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience in community building and event hosting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Represent the organization at developer conferences and community events.
• Prepare and deliver technical talks and workshops.
• Build relationships with developers and community leaders.
• Create tutorials, articles, and technical content.
• Engage with developers on social media and forums.
• Identify opportunities for community engagement and documentation improvements.

Skills

• Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with strong organizational abilities.
• Experience with web scraping technologies is a plus.

Education

• Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Tools

• Familiarity with Scrapy and headless browsers is advantageous.
