Job summary

This role is a high-impact technical leadership position focused on engineering, architecture, and product execution in the AI domain. The Deputy CTO will support the CTO in guiding backend and machine learning teams while being actively involved in development and delivery. The position requires translating complex business challenges into scalable technical solutions and leading small teams to achieve fast execution.

Qualifications

  • Extensive backend engineering experience with a deep understanding of system architecture; familiarity with C#, Python, Java, or similar technologies.
  • Proven ability to maintain hands-on coding skills while in a senior technical leadership role.
  • Strong business acumen to connect technical decisions with product and business outcomes.
  • Experience in people management, including hiring and team leadership.
  • Comfortable with the full engineering lifecycle: architecture, development, infrastructure, and operations.
  • Startup mindset with the ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
  • Curiosity and a continuous learning mindset, willing to experiment with new technologies.
  • Excellent communication skills with structured thinking.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering and technical leadership roles.
