Job summary

The role involves enhancing data science capabilities within the Hearing Care sector to support commercial and operational decision-making. The Data Scientist will work closely with business stakeholders to translate challenges into actionable machine learning solutions, managing the entire data science lifecycle from data preparation to model deployment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematical Modelling, IT, or a related field.
  • Over 3 years of professional experience in data science, machine learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with commercial and operational teams to understand their needs and develop relevant data science use cases.
  • Manage the end-to-end data science lifecycle, including data exploration, feature engineering, modeling, experimentation, and evaluation.
  • Build, validate, and improve machine learning models, ensuring they transition from prototypes to scalable production solutions.
  • Monitor model performance over time, addressing issues such as model drift and retraining needs.

Skills

  • Proficient in Python and SQL, with the ability to write clean, maintainable code.
  • Experience with MLOps practices, CI/CD, and model monitoring.
  • Strong communication skills to convey complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Education

  • Relevant degree in a related field as specified in qualifications.

Tools

  • Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
