Data Center Site Engineer (Full-time, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The role involves ensuring the optimal functioning of electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment within a data center. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, corrective actions, and emergency response to issues, while serving as a technical resource and collaborating with third-party vendors.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the operation, installation, and maintenance of critical data center equipment.
• Bachelor's degree or higher.
• In-depth knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems used in data centers.
• Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in both Danish and English, with good verbal and written communication skills.
• Electrical or mechanical qualification.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, maintain, and respond to abnormal conditions in facility systems.
• Perform scheduled and ad hoc preventive maintenance requiring multi-disciplinary engineering skills.
• Conduct periodic inspections of building systems to ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Respond quickly to indoor emergencies and air quality complaints.
• Manage work requests and ensure completion of tasks.
• Utilize customer service ticketing systems and relevant processes.
• Monitor service provider performance and recommend changes as necessary.
• Prepare and review operational documents such as SOPs, MOPs, and EOPs.
• Conduct site walks and inspections as required.

Skills

• Strong technical understanding of data center electrical and mechanical systems, including power distribution, UPS systems, and building management systems.
• Ability to write and review operational documents.

Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.

Tools

• Familiarity with customer service ticketing systems and operational documentation tools.
