Data Analyst (Chemicals, Remote)

Job summary

This role involves supporting the modernization of the shipping industry through data analysis and machine learning initiatives. The Data Analyst will work with large datasets and assist in developing machine learning algorithms to enhance data-driven decision-making in the marine coating sector.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in programming through education, work, or personal projects.
• Knowledge of programming languages and frameworks such as Python, Spark/Pyspark, and SQL.
• A background in IT, engineering, or natural sciences is preferred, but exceptional candidates without this will also be considered.
• Ability to work independently while recognizing when to seek assistance.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in backend development of data streams for the data platform.
• Optimize existing data infrastructure and improve data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain a computer vision machine learning system.
• Integrate multiple data streams into a centralized model for enhanced analysis.
• Conduct ad hoc data requisition and API calls to support various departments.

Education
