Qualifications

  • Experience in construction contracting strategies and unit rate construction pricing
  • Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to build strong relationships with team members and clients

Responsibilities

  • Support construction procurement programmes from inception to completion
  • Develop and agree on procurement strategies for construction packages
  • Create commercial presentations and communications for contractors
  • Review and evaluate proposals, making recommendations
  • Negotiate pricing for work packages and implement value-for-money strategies
  • Manage contract alignment and ensure effective coordination of contract notices
  • Oversee contract releases, payment applications, and change order management
  • Assist in negotiating and settling construction disputes and claims
  • Review cost-saving proposals and assess implications on contracts

Education

  • Relevant experience in a similar role within the construction industry is preferred.

Tools

  • Familiarity with owner's bespoke forms of contract and methods of measurement.
