Job summary

An opportunity exists for an intern or thesis student to engage in a metabolic modeling project, focusing on model reconstruction, curation, or data integration and analysis to support metabolic engineering and process optimization. The project can be tailored based on the candidate's experience and interests, with potential for additional side projects.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in a field combining data science/coding and biology (e.g., computational biology, bioinformatics, bioengineering with a computational focus)
  • Currently enrolled in a university program or recently graduated (within the last year)
  • Available for full-time work for a minimum of three months in Copenhagen

Responsibilities

  • Work on metabolic modeling projects, including model reconstruction and data analysis
  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists in both dry and wet lab settings
  • Potentially expand projects to include omics data integration

Skills

  • Proficiency in coding with R and/or Python
  • Familiarity with metabolic modeling techniques
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

Education

  • Relevant undergraduate degree in computational biology or related fields
