About the role

Job summary

This role is a fixed-term position covering maternity leave for 12 months, focusing on customer engagement and commercial activities in the Nordics region. The associate will support the field sales organization by developing new customer relationships, qualifying leads, and maintaining daily commercial operations through digital and telephone engagement.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to quickly learn and understand highly technical products or services.
  • Knowledge of genomics, genotyping, gene expression, sequencing, or multi-omics is essential.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence various audiences.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Science, Genetics, or a related field is required; a Master’s or PhD is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of relevant markets and sales opportunities.
  • Fluency in English is required; additional European languages are desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

  • Generate new business through proactive outbound prospecting and cold calling.
  • Qualify inbound and outbound sales leads and progress them to conversion.
  • Retain and expand existing accounts in partnership with local account managers.
  • Represent the company to customers and advocate for their needs internally.
  • Engage with customers via phone and email, with occasional field travel.

  • Strong customer focus and technical curiosity.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Adaptable and organized, capable of solving moderately complex problems.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Genetics, or a related field is required; advanced degrees are preferred.

Tools

  • Proficiency in using digital tools and resources for customer engagement and decision-making support.
