Commercial Planning Analyst

Job summary

This role involves supporting the Commercial Planning Manager in various analytical tasks related to commercial planning, forecasting, and performance modeling. The analyst will work with data to provide insights that inform business decisions and improve performance across key markets.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in commercial analysis, planning analysis, or data analysis, with a focus on forecasting and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to enhance analytical workflows and automate tasks.
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets, capable of handling large datasets.
• Experience with BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Strong analytical skills with a grasp of statistical concepts and commercial KPIs.
• Attention to detail in reporting and forecasting processes.
• Effective communication skills for presenting analysis clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the monthly latest estimate process by preparing data and analysis.
• Maintain regular reporting on sales, demand, revenue, and other key performance indicators.
• Conduct analyses to explain performance changes and identify risks and opportunities.
• Utilize AI tools to streamline analysis and improve productivity.
• Support budget and forecast cycles by analyzing data and checking assumptions.
• Perform ad hoc analysis to address specific questions from management.
• Ensure data quality by identifying inconsistencies or reporting issues.
• Create clear outputs for planning reviews and commercial discussions.
• Collaborate with BI developers to utilize trusted datasets and translate findings into recommendations.
