Cloud Engineer

Job summary

The Cloud Engineer is responsible for managing the cloud platform utilized by development teams for product development and deployment. This role involves hands-on engineering tasks, including designing, building, and automating reliable and secure infrastructure. The position is part of a Cloud Enablement team and requires collaboration with solution architects and development teams.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in cloud engineering or infrastructure engineering roles, with production platform experience.
• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Solid experience with Kubernetes, Helm, and GitOps tools like ArgoCD or Flux.
• Proficient in CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions, with a focus on DevSecOps.
• Strong Linux knowledge, including configuration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python) and experience with Ansible or similar tools.
• Experience with Azure as the primary cloud platform.
• Fluency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and configure cloud infrastructure across Azure and AWS using Terraform.
• Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters and manage containerized workloads with Helm.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automate operational tasks to reduce manual processes.
• Integrate security controls and compliance checks into infrastructure and delivery pipelines.
• Provide guidance to development teams on cloud and infrastructure topics.

Skills

• Strong containerization skills, including Docker image management.
• Familiarity with relational databases (MSSQL, PostgreSQL) is a plus.
• Experience in regulated environments or healthcare software development is advantageous.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in cloud engineering or related fields.
