Clinical Analytics Engineer

Job summary

The Clinical Analytics Engineer will support data-driven clinical development by designing and developing data products, digital applications, and visualizations. This role involves collaborating with colleagues to translate business needs into effective digital solutions for clinical trials, while contributing to the responsible adoption of AI in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL skills and experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SAS.
• Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering technologies like Snowflake, AWS, dbt, Dagster, and Fivetran is advantageous.
• Experience in developing analytical applications, data products, and visualizations, with knowledge of tools such as Spotfire, JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Vue.js), and Dash/Plotly being a plus.
• Understanding of clinical development or healthcare data, with an appreciation for working in a GxP environment.
• Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills and curiosity about emerging technologies, including AI.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop digital solutions that enhance clinical trial planning, execution, and monitoring.
• Partner with teams across Global Clinical Development to deliver insights and capabilities that leverage trusted clinical data.
• Contribute to the integration of AI technologies into clinical development processes.

Skills

• Proficiency in SQL and programming languages (Python, R, SAS).
• Experience with data visualization and analytical application development.
• Understanding of GxP regulations and clinical data standards (CDISC SDTM is a plus).

Education

• Relevant degree in a technical or scientific field, with experience in clinical analytics preferred.
