Job summary

The role focuses on enhancing the robustness and auditability of climate and greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting within a financial framework. It involves collaboration across various functions to ensure compliance with established methodologies and standards.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, engineering, climate science, or a related analytical field.
  • Significant experience in climate or GHG reporting within regulated environments, such as listed companies or audit firms.
  • Strong understanding of CSRD and GHG Protocol, including methodologies and estimation techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the audit lead for climate reporting, acting as the main contact for external auditors.
  • Enhance governance and controls surrounding climate data.
  • Collaborate with sustainability teams to develop climate accounting methodologies.
  • Ensure consistent application of methodologies across the organization.
  • Analyze and review reporting outputs.
  • Contribute to assessments of double materiality and alignment with other environmental and governance matters.
  • Support the development of reporting systems and tools.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and structured approach.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality and transparency.
  • Fluent in English.

Education

  • Relevant academic background, typically a Master’s degree or equivalent.

Tools

  • Experience with reporting systems and methodologies related to climate and GHG reporting.
