Chief Project Manager (Aviation, Copenhagen)

Job summary

The Aviation Department is seeking an experienced Chief Project Manager to oversee a growing portfolio of airfield projects both in Denmark and internationally. This role involves leading project delivery throughout the entire project lifecycle, from planning to execution, while fostering client relationships and managing budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering, focusing on civil works or a related field.
• Over 15 years of experience in civil works projects, particularly in airport or road design.
• Proven experience as a Design Manager and/or Project Manager.
• Familiarity with airport projects and operations.
• Experience with complex multidisciplinary civil works projects.
• Proactive attitude with strong communication skills; professional proficiency in English is required, additional languages are a plus.
• Knowledge of relevant design standards (ICAO, EASA, BL) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of airfield projects, managing the entire project lifecycle including planning, design, procurement, execution, and handover.
• Actively contribute to business development and strategic initiatives, identifying opportunities for commercial success.
• Manage key client relationships and lead the development of competitive proposals.
• Mentor junior team members, promoting a collaborative and learning-focused environment.
