Job summary

This role involves leading the global security agenda for a biotech organization, focusing on cyber security strategy and resilience. The Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) will ensure the protection of critical assets and compliance with security standards while providing assurance to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in various security disciplines.
• Strong expertise in security policy, risk management, and security frameworks.
• Experience in establishing and managing an Information Security Management System (ISMS).
• Understanding of cyber resilience, emphasizing investment in prevention, detection, response, and recovery.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and sound judgment under pressure.
• MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Relevant certification such as CISM.

Responsibilities

• Lead the corporate security agenda and develop the cyber security strategy.
• Maintain awareness of the cyber threat landscape relevant to biotech, IT, and OT.
• Advise IT, OT, and business leadership on security matters.
• Identify and protect critical assets, including intellectual property and production capabilities.
• Lead global security awareness and improvement initiatives.
• Build capabilities across identification, protection, detection, response, and recovery.
• Oversee security monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response planning.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external security requirements.

Education

• MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Tools

• Familiarity with ISO27000 and ISA/IEC 62443 frameworks.
