About the role

Job summary

The Category Specialist will enhance alignment in procurement processes and support strategic initiatives aimed at sustainable growth and value creation. This role involves acting as a tactical partner to Group Procurement Managers, utilizing expertise in sourcing tools and analytical skills to drive procurement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Experience in a strategic procurement function, preferably within an international organization, or in a sourcing role.
  • Strong interest in sourcing processes, tools, and data analysis.
  • Proven experience with procurement digital tools and methodologies.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in Excel (advanced), PowerPoint, Power BI, and M3.
  • Solid communication skills and strong stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Fluency in English and the local language of the country of employment.
  • Proactive and positive mindset, capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and compare supplier offers and tenders.
  • Calculate savings and identify value creation opportunities.
  • Identify initiatives to optimize procurement processes.
  • Ensure compliance is maintained throughout procurement activities.
