Job summary

A Campaign Assistant is needed to support a campaign team focused on ocean protection in Europe. This full-time, permanent role is based in Brussels, Madrid, or Copenhagen and involves providing operational, analytical, and coordination support for various campaign activities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in environmental studies, political science, international relations, marine science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Early career experience or relevant internships in EU campaigns, advocacy, policy, research, or communications.
  • Experience in research and preparation of briefing materials under guidance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in coordinating and implementing campaign activities, ensuring smooth information flow across teams.
  • Track milestones, deadlines, and key developments relevant to campaign priorities.
  • Conduct desk research and prepare briefings and policy-related summaries on topics like fisheries and marine protection.
  • Develop and coordinate communication materials in collaboration with the Communications team.
  • Organize and support events, meetings, and advocacy activities, including preparation of materials.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling and document management.

Skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and support senior colleagues.
  • Proficiency in English; fluency in other European languages is a plus.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Tools

  • Familiarity with research and communication tools relevant to campaign management.
