C++ Software Engineer (Energy Trading, Aarhus)

Job summary

A new Energy Trading business is being established in Aarhus, Denmark, and seeks skilled Software Engineers to contribute to the development of a comprehensive technology stack for power and gas trading.

Qualifications

• Strong academic background in computer science or a quantitative field.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a software engineer.
• Proficient in C++ or similar languages (e.g., Rust), with additional experience in Python or Java considered advantageous.
• Familiarity with the European energy trading industry is a plus.
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team to build a full technology stack supporting trading activities, including exchange connectivity, trading systems, and data analysis.
• Maintain and enhance the existing tech stack in partnership with trading teams.
• Provide training and support to new team members.

Skills

• Strong programming skills in C++ or comparable languages.
• Experience in back-end development, algorithms, and trading systems.

Education

• Degree in computer science or a related quantitative field.

Tools

• Familiarity with various systems, platforms, and tools used in trading environments.
