Job summary

The Business Development Manager for Utilities is tasked with driving growth for medium voltage products by identifying and developing new business opportunities within the utilities sector across the Nordics and Baltics regions. This role emphasizes building strong customer relationships and collaborating with various functions to achieve profitable market expansion.

Qualifications

  • University Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent knowledge; MBA is a plus.
  • Significant experience in sales, business development, or a relevant role within the Utilities industry.

Responsibilities

  • Initiate and execute business development activities targeting profitable growth in medium voltage power distribution.
  • Establish collaboration with Key Account teams and the broader Utilities sales ecosystem.
  • Enhance knowledge within the Utilities sales ecosystem by identifying training needs and sharing best practices.
  • Lead product launches and act as the Voice of the Customer in the New Product Development process.
  • Support presales and sales teams in defining optimal product portfolios and coaching on value propositions.
  • Analyze local market intelligence and share insights with stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to ensure continuous market engagement.
  • Manage the Utilities factory forecast and implement a segment growth roadmap.
  • Support the tendering process and optimize customer designs.
  • Organize designer and customer events to drive product specification.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts and provide management with key market data.
  • Build and nurture customer relationships to drive long-term growth.
  • Monitor the competitive environment to strategically position the company.
  • Maintain a project pipeline and conduct monthly reviews with sales organizations.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of requirements for electrical equipment in medium voltage applications.
  • Basic knowledge of power electronics.
  • Initiative-driven and customer-oriented with strategic thinking abilities.
