About the role

Job summary

The role involves driving profitable growth in the membrane business for pharmaceutical processing and water recovery applications. The Business Developer will work closely with sales teams, strategic customers, and cross-functional teams to identify new business opportunities and develop customer-focused solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemical engineering, biotechnology, process engineering, mechanical engineering, food engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5–10+ years of experience in business development, technical sales, application engineering, or process engineering within the process industry.
  • Proven ability to merge technical expertise with commercial insight to create customer value.
  • Experience in regulated industries, preferably pharmaceuticals or biotechnology.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to collaborate across international teams.

Responsibilities

  • Drive business development and growth in pharmaceutical processing and water recovery.
  • Lead commercial and technical discussions with sales teams and strategic customers.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver customer value and support product launches.
  • Manage business planning, opportunity pipeline, forecasting, and strategic account planning.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of process technologies and customer applications.
  • Experience with membrane filtration, separation technologies, or hygienic process systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and a structured approach to problem-solving.

Education

  • Relevant degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.

Tools

  • Familiarity with business development tools and customer relationship management systems.
