Business Controller (Finance, Odense)

Job summary

This role involves working within the finance department to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting while enhancing data processes and reporting tools. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and a focus on automation and quality in reporting.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant experience in controlling, finance, or auditing.
• Strong educational background in accounting or finance.
• Proficient in Excel and Power BI, with experience handling large datasets.
• Familiarity with SQL is a plus but not mandatory.
• Interest in AI and emerging technologies to improve financial processes.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to derive insights from complex data.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and improve the quality of monthly financial reporting.
• Develop reporting packages and KPIs in collaboration with the CFO.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Implement and utilize data tools like Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate.
• Conduct financial analyses and contribute to business cases.
• Manage projects and implement new processes and systems.
• Act as a backup for accounting department colleagues when necessary.
