Azure Cloud Specialist (On-site)

Job summary

This role involves managing Azure services within an IT Operations team focused on enhancing operational excellence in a leading agricultural and energy group. The Azure Cloud Specialist will oversee daily operations, enforce policies, and collaborate with various teams to support cloud initiatives.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in Azure operations, platform management, governance, and compliance.
• Experience with automation tools (CI/CD), monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, and lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of cloud security measures, including WAF and private endpoints.
• Ability to optimize cloud costs and workloads for improved performance and reliability.
• Proficient in documentation, process maintenance, and advanced Azure networking.
• Effective collaboration skills with teams and vendors, including experience with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) onboarding.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills in automation, networking, and security.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Azure cloud services, ensuring governance and policy-as-code for security and compliance.
• Oversee daily cloud operations, including system monitoring, backups, disaster recovery, updates, and platform resilience.
• Maintain documentation and operational standards to ensure consistency and compliance.
• Enhance security by managing WAF, private endpoints, and supporting incident resolution.
• Ensure compliance through logging, access control, and data protection via policy-as-code.
• Monitor and optimize cloud consumption, manage costs, and right-size resources.
• Collaborate with teams and vendors to support cloud projects and automate CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist in onboarding users and services, and administer Azure Virtual Desktop.
• Drive new solutions and improvements, focusing on advanced networking and automation.

Education

• Relevant degree or equivalent experience in IT or a related field.
