Senior AWS Cloud Architect

Job summary

This role involves leading the design and evolution of an enterprise AWS platform, focusing on creating a secure, scalable, and cost-efficient cloud foundation for application teams. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure successful cloud adoption and governance.

Qualifications

• Over 5 years of experience in designing and building enterprise AWS platforms and landing zones at scale.
• Strong hands-on expertise in AWS networking, identity, security, governance, observability, and core infrastructure services.
• Proven experience in cloud migration, workload modernization, and onboarding teams to AWS.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the enterprise AWS platform, including landing zones and secure connectivity.
• Define the AWS operating model and governance setup, including policies and security guardrails.
• Build shared platform services for identity, security, logging, and observability.
• Drive automation and reusable platform engineering through Infrastructure as Code.
• Ensure platform security, scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
• Support cloud migration and modernization efforts.
• Maintain platform documentation and align standards across stakeholders.

Skills

• Strong architectural judgment and stakeholder management.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of translating business and technical requirements into practical solutions.

Education

• Relevant technical degree or equivalent experience in cloud architecture and engineering.

Tools

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and CI/CD technologies.
