Job summary

The Automation Engineer will be integral in linking production, equipment, technicians, and IT within a GMP-regulated environment. This role focuses on automation support for a Fill & Finish facility, ensuring that automation systems function effectively and meet compliance standards.

Qualifications

  • Degree in automation engineering, electrical engineering, automation technology, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience with automation-heavy production equipment, preferably in a GMP or regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of GMP requirements and documentation practices.
  • Proficient in Danish and English.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily operational support to ensure stable and reliable production.
  • Drive projects for updates, improvements, and troubleshooting of equipment and systems.
  • Lead or assist in deviations, change controls, and root cause analyses.
  • Conduct qualification activities including IQ/OQ and support PQ.
  • Maintain high documentation and compliance levels through strong GMP practices.

Skills

  • Experience with PLC/HMI programming and troubleshooting (Siemens).
  • Familiarity with iFix SCADA, process control, and batch systems (ISA-88/S88, ISA-95).
  • Knowledge of industrial communication protocols (PROFINET, PROFIBUS, Modbus TCP/RTU, Ethernet/IP).
  • Understanding of data integration technologies (OPC UA, SQL, MES, Historian).
  • Basic electrical design skills (P&ID, electrical diagrams, control schematics).

Education

  • Degree in a relevant engineering field.

Tools

  • Experience with VMware and IT infrastructure (Active Directory, network, storage).
